Elizabeth Belbin

Elizabeth is a registered social worker (BSW, MSW) with the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Social Workers. She has a Bachelor of Social Work (1996) and a Masters of Social Work (2009) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has worked as a social worker in Newfoundland and New York City. She has trained in various types of meditation such as Mindfulness Meditation and Transcendental Meditation and was certified to become a meditation teacher in New York City in 2012.


Elizabeth has had a meditation practice for 25 years. She is a mixed-media artist, who has been studying, creating and teaching mixed-media art since 2011. She teaches intuitive art, in which students follow their intuition and create what feels right to them in the moment. This method of trusting your intuition can be very therapeutic and beneficial to students in other areas of their lives.

Elizabeth is the owner of "The Purpose of Life is to be Happy," a company which offers psychotherapy and classes in meditation, art and wellness.
