Elizabeth Belbin MSW, RSW
Elizabeth is a registered social worker with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW). She completed a Bachelors of Social Work (1996) and a Masters of Social Work (2009) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has had additional training in areas of mental health such as trauma, suicide intervention and grief. Elizabeth applies Strengths Based Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy in her counselling practice. She has worked as a social worker in Newfoundland and in New York City.
Elizabeth has completed training in alternative mental health healing modalities such as Energy Psychology and meditation. She has been trained in and practices various types of meditation over the past 25 years and was trained as a meditation teacher in New York City.
Elizabeth is conscious of her clients in their totality. In this integrative approach clients are held in a safe, supportive and accepting space as they gain insight into their underlying mental, emotional, physical and spiritual strengths and challenges in striving to reach their full potential.
