Kim Oldford-Walters

Kim has a Masters degree in Education, Counselling Psychology, and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Kim brings to Ruah her diverse counselling experience in the areas of anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, self-esteem, separation and divorce, and work place issues. She also has experience in working with couples and has training in Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy. Kim has extensive experience in the facilitation of psycho-educational groups for adults and youth. Her work with clients typically incorporates a variety of counselling modalities that includes: Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focussed, Positive Psychology and elements of mindfulness. Kim endorses a holistic approach to well-being (mind, body and spirit) and also endeavours to work collaboratively with clients to discover and foster their personal strengths.
