The Jubilee of 2025 is an invitation to set out on a pilgrimage of hope. A pilgrimage involves undertaking a journey to a holy place. Along this journey the pilgrim not only changes their location but is also changed within. The whole Christian life, in fact, can be seen as a pilgrimage of conversion as we proceed toward the goal of eternal life in Christ Jesus.
While Pope Francis designated Jubilee pilgrimage sites in Rome and other places throughout the world, he also invited local bishops, in addition to the local Cathedral, to designate pilgrimage sites for their own dioceses. Three such sites have been designated in the Archdiocese of St. John’s and a date for a special celebration at each of these sites has been organized.
Information regarding the pilgrimage sites, the celebration dates and the Jubilee Indulgence that can be obtained in pilgrimage to these sites can be found in the Archdiocese of St. John’s pamphlet: 2025 JUBILLEE PILGRIMAGE SITES which is available in parish churches and on the Archdiocesan website www.rcsj.org
