Message of Gratitude from Archbishop Hundt during this time of Pandemic

The Archdiocese has been pleased to receive a number of letters and emails from individuals and groups expressing gratitude for the generous and imaginative ministry of the priests of our Archdiocese during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is always nice to receive such positive messages and the thoughtfulness of the senders is greatly appreciated.

Access to the technology that has allowed for Masses and devotions to be broadcast and shared has added another dimension to the pastoral ministry that is being done in person and by telephone with the sick, the shut-ins, those struggling with anxiety and loneliness and those suffering the loss of a loved one in this time of limited social gathering.

I too am extremely grateful to the priests of the Archdiocese for the many ways, new and old, which they are using to reach out to their parishioners and to all in need during these challenging times.

Praying for God’s blessings upon our clergy and upon all those who are generously giving of themselves in service to others during this time of pandemic, I remain,

Yours in the Risen Lord,

+Peter Hundt
