The Vicar General assist the Archbishop in the Administration and in the pastoral life of the Archdiocese, carrying out various responsibilities he assigns to them.

Reverend Cecil Critch

Reverend Cecil Critch was born in 1954 and ordained in 2011. He has served in the Archdiocese of St. John’s at the following parishes: St. Edward's Parish, Kelligrews; Sacred Heart Parish, Marystown and St. Patrick's, Burin; St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, St. Lawrence, St. Joseph's Parish, Lamaline.

Father Critch is also the parish priest of Basilica of St. John the Baptist, St. John’s.
