PUBLIC SESSION WITH SR. NUALA KENNY, SC, MD, FRCP
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17 2018, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon
CORPUS CHRISTI PARISH HALL
The Archdiocese of St. John’s welcomes (Sr.) Dr. Nuala Kenny at Corpus Christi Parish Hall, 260 Waterford Bridge Rd., St. John's, NL.
Sister Nuala Kenny’s new book is Rediscovering the Art of Dying – How Jesus’ Experience and Our Stories Reveal a New Vision of Compassionate Care. Drawing on the passion of Christ, Sr. Nuala Kenny reflects on the inevitable questions we all face regarding health, illness, suffering, and dying. Sister Kenny is well known for her expertise in end of life care and palliative care. This book is for anyone undergoing or reflecting on illness, suffering, and dying. It is also for families and friends who accompany the sick, dependent, and dying, and for caregivers who accompany them. Our hope is that Dr. Kenny will also enlighten us on the issues surrounding doctor-assisted death in Canada.
